BaliHomeNurse grew out of twelve years of nursing — first on hospital wards in Denpasar, then in the homes of families who needed more than a ward could give. I kept seeing the same gap: families hiring untrained helpers for work that needed clinical skill, or keeping someone in hospital because nobody trustworthy could continue care at home. So we built the service we wished existed — a small team of licensed nurses and properly trained caregivers who bring hospital-grade discipline into living rooms across south Bali, and who treat every client's parent the way we would want ours treated.
Who We Are
A deliberately compact team: STR-licensed nurses, dementia-trained caregivers, and licensed physiotherapists, coordinated by senior nurses who know every client by name. We stay small on purpose — care quality lives in continuity, and continuity dies in big rosters. The same two or three faces visit your home, a senior nurse reviews every care log weekly, and when something needs a decision, the person making it has actually met your family.
Licenses and Vetting
Every nurse on our team holds a current STR (Surat Tanda Registrasi) — Indonesia's national nursing registration — and we will show you the license before care starts; an honest service should never be shy about credentials. Every team member, clinical or not, passes a background check and reference verification with previous employers. Caregivers and companions are not nurses and we never present them as such — they are trained for non-clinical support and always work under nurse oversight.
Our Principles
The doctor leads, we execute. Every clinical task — medication, injections, dressings, IV therapy — follows the written instructions of the treating doctor. We do not diagnose, do not prescribe, and do not adjust treatment, full stop. When we notice something concerning, it goes to the doctor and the family, fast.
Honest scope, honest advice. We support recovery and assist with daily living — we do not promise cures, and we will tell you plainly when you don't need us yet, when companion care is enough, or when a situation needs a hospital rather than a home nurse. For medical emergencies call 112 or go to the nearest hospital — home nursing is not emergency care.
Dignity is the method. Unhurried personal care, elders addressed with respect, privacy protected — including absolute discretion for clients recovering from procedures they would rather keep private.
Families stay informed. A written log at every visit, a WhatsApp report after it, a weekly summary for family abroad. You should never have to wonder how your mother's day went.
What We Don't Do
No emergency response — for medical emergencies call 112 or go to the nearest hospital. No medical diagnoses or prescriptions. No unprescribed IVs or injections, whatever the wellness menu down the road offers. No oversold care packages: if two visits a week genuinely cover the need, that is what we will recommend, because the rest of this business runs on trust. What we do, and what it costs, is open on the services pages and the pricing page.
